Other times a more muted brown appears- dying grasses contrast against the dark wet wood, now bare. Pumpkins dot porches and yards, brilliant crimson-orange,

It’s a time to gather inside in the warmth of our homes, enjoy cider and stew and conversation and maybe a bit of euchre… cranberries show up in desserts and decor, and the colors of the season have never been more rich or warm or inviting…
