  Black Blossoms

Black is back, and blackened metal is making a huge comeback in the jewelry world. Through an ancient process formerly unknown to us, we’ve managed to blacken our silver, and we are starting a line of darkened silver pieces.

This month, we’re offering this ring- free!- to one lucky person. All you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post, and- once it passes the moderator for language and spam- a random person will be chosen on February 28th to receive this ring in their size!

This ring is our classic Rose Garden band, but it just took a turn for the darker. Blackened silver gleams like gunmetal from the curling tendrils and delicate rosebuds.     I find the appearance of blackened metal to be fascinating. I’ve heard a few people insist it’s a waste of good silver or what have you, but I’m absolutely enraptured with the look of it. It gives it a very antique feel, which is nice. Also, very nice choice of ring to use the blackening process on. It really shows off the quality work that can be done with the technique. Good show indeed.

    I love how you guys are doing blackened metal now. It’s something I’ve never seen at box stores like People’s or Kay’s etc… and everyone knows I’m the biggest fan of the Rose Garden series, I still have my little pinky ring.
